About Derrick Skating Club

Established in 1966 and affiliated with Skate Canada, the Derrick Skating Club has offered skating instruction in Edmonton for six decades. Programmes span the full development spectrum — from introductory Learn to Skate and CanSkate sessions for young children through STARSkate, CompetitiveSkate, and advanced technical skating for more experienced skaters.

Hockey and ringette players are served through CanPowerSkate group classes, advanced technical skating, and private power skating sessions. The club also offers an Introductory Figure Skating Academy, a teen and adult introduction to figure skating, and a dedicated hockey and ringette power skating stream, making it one of the broader multi-discipline skating programmes available in the city.
