About Pickering Skating Club
Founded in 1972, Pickering Skating Club is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organisation sanctioned by Skate Canada, serving skaters of all ages and ability levels at its Pickering, Ontario home ice.
Programmes span preschool learn-to-skate sessions through advanced competitive StarSkate training, with both group classes and private one-on-one coaching available. Coaches hold National Coaching Certification Programme (NCCP) credentials and First Aid Training, providing structured progression paths for skaters pursuing recreational enjoyment or competitive goals. Skills Development Training and an annual Ice Show round out the programme calendar.
The club's community atmosphere is reflected in reviews that highlight supportive coaches and a welcoming environment for skaters of any age or skill level.
What parents say
“Joined the club in January 2016. The coaches are professional and passionate about what they do. Even the skaters are very supportive of each other. It's an over all engaging, supportive, and fun environment to learn how to skate, or to advance further skating skills for any level of skating, at any age.”
