About North Shore Hockey Academy
North Shore Hockey Academy is a Hockey Canada Skills Academy operating at Canlan Icesports on the North Shore of North Vancouver, serving secondary school students from schools across the North Vancouver area. The programme is compliant with BC Ministry of Education requirements, integrating into the school day rather than functioning as a standalone club.
Founded by Cam Kerr — a BC Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, as is programme associate Nancy Wilson — the academy takes an athlete-centred approach to development. On-ice instruction emphasises game sense and hockey IQ, supplemented by off-ice strength and conditioning resources.
Programming is co-ed and delivered in a team-training format, targeting the U14–U18 age range.
