Quick facts
About Bloom Hockey Training Centre
Founded by Rick Dorval — a two-time CCHL Coach of the Year (2012/13 and 2022/23) and CCHL General Manager of the Year (2022/23) — Bloom Hockey Training Centre operates out of Orléans and serves the broader Ottawa area on a synthetic ice surface. Programmes span shooting and stickhandling lanes, private and group player lessons, goalie-specific coaching, and off-ice strength and conditioning.
The centre's camp calendar is particularly full, with offerings across March Break, summer, PD days, and the holiday period, including a dedicated goalie camp. Association packages and knowledge seminars are also available, making the facility a practical option for teams and organisations as well as individual players.
The programme is listed for youth players at the U8–U13 level, though the facility describes itself as open to all skill levels. Memberships are available on a monthly or annual basis alongside drop-in lane rentals.
What parents say
“Rick and Zack took the time to analyze my daughter’s shots, then work with them to improve their skills. Beautiful facility and top notch coaching! Will book more private lessons soon!”
